Paris Jackson’s Highs & Lows
If the name Paris sounds rather luxurious to you, it should! She is indeed the middle child and only daughter of singer Michael Jackson. Her older brother is 23-year-old Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. (“Prince”) and her younger half-brother is Prince Michael Jackson II (“Blanket”). To say the least, Paris and her brothers have had many highs and lows in their lifetimes thus far.
Since 1999, the trio was raised solely by their father all the way up until his death on June 25, 2009. While under Michael Jackson’s supervision, she and her siblings often wore masks to hide their faces from the public. Upon Michael’s sudden death (due to cardiac arrest), Paris and her siblings were thrown into the spotlight, as well as left in the custody of their grandmother, Katherine Jackson.
Ultimately, Paris did not particularly take the death of her loved father well and remained suicidal years later. In June 2013, the then 15 year old was rushed to the hospital after attempting suicide.

Fans were heartbroken to hear of Paris’ suicide attempt in June of 2013. Paris was rushed to a hospital early Wednesday morning, June 5, after an alleged suicide attempt, which was later confirmed by her mother, Debbie Rowe.
