In the caption for the post, the mom-to-be hinted that the color of her coat may have been chosen because of the gender of the baby. “💙🦋💙,” her caption included.
Once Katharine shared her eye-catching post, it didn’t take long for her followers to congratulate and compliment her in the comments. “CONGRATULATIONS!!!! YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL 💖💖💖💖💖💖,” one follower wrote. “What wonderful news. Congrats! @katharinefoster so happy for you both. ❤️,” another enthused.
Katharine’s husband David, 71, also shared a loving comment. “My most AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL GLOWING wife!” it read.
The American Idol star’s exciting confirmation comes just over two months after reports about her pregnancy first started. She’s also been seen with her baby bump on display on numerous outings and hinted at the bun in the oven when she sang the song “She Used to Be Mine” during her GLOW 2020 performance on Oct. 3. When she sang the line, “and the life that’s inside her, growing stronger every day,” in the tune, she cradled her stomach, causing viewers’ eyebrows to raise.
One year before they made headlines for their soon-to-be bundle of joy, Katharine and David got attention for tying the know back in June 2019. The lovebirds first met on the set of American Idol when David, who’s a music composer, served as his future wife’s mentor during the show’s 5th season in 2006. They went their separate ways after the show ended but reconnected years later and fell in love.
Their upcoming new addition is a part of their love story that was planned, according to one source. “Katharine and David have been trying to get pregnant for months and so this is something they were planning for a while now,” the insider EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife in Oct. “Katharine has always wanted to start a family with a loving husband and have children, so for all of this to happen is her dream come true.
